After completing his studies with a degree in finance, Norbert Mai worked in financial administration for many years and acquired extensive knowledge in the field of tax law and in personnel and organizational issues.

He was the full-time mayor of the Angelburg community for a total of 18 years before joining JPLH Consult GmbH as a managing director. Norbert Mai does voluntary work in several church and diaconal contexts. Among other things, he is chairman of the board of the Diakoniestation Gladenbach. His greatest hobby was and is table tennis. He had been an active player for many years, later a manager and now a passionate spectator. Norbert Mai likes to hike and does endurance sports to compensate the daily business.
